As it has done every year for more than 10 years, the Boehringer Ingelheim Laboratory, world leader in equine health, and the AVEF (French Veterinary Association), are organizing thematic conferences as part of the Paris Horse Week. The Equirencontres are an opportunity to share and exchange on a specific subject, in order to allow a better understanding of the specificities of equine health and to recall the elementary rules to guarantee horses' health and well-being. The "veterinary word" goes beyond the practitioner's field to address as many people as possible: riders, club leaders, owners, breeders, professionals, amateurs, beginners...
This year's general theme will be "Equine locomotion and its pathologies": the best specialists, known worldwide, will cover topics such as the advanced technologies used in movement analysis, or new treatments for locomotor pathologies such as lameness, and in particular arthrosis.
First conference: "Slow motion equine locomotion, and motion analysis techniques"
By Professor Jean-Marie Denoix (Cirale/ENVA)
Second conference: "New treatments for locomotor disorders, between beliefs and science"
By Dr. Valérie de Murat (Boehringer-Ingelheim Technical Manager)
Following: Question and answer session with the public, with "informed guests": a federal veterinarian, a trainer, a high level rider, and a representative of the club/teaching sector will ask questions to the speakers.
