Enjoy a wide range of sporting events during the Salon du Cheval de Paris from 26 November to 4 December 2016 at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre.

To celebrate its 45th anniversary, the Salon du Cheval de Paris is organising a series of high-level sporting events... and lots of surprises!

Four sections to discover

Sport and Competitions: Sport, Performance and Fun

The 2016 Salon du Cheval de Paris is putting sport centre stage with an extraordinary programme of national competitions to enjoy during the Paris Indoor Horse Competition. This year’s disciplines include show jumping, dressage, eventing, harness, vaulting, horseball, hunter and Western riding. For optimal rider and horse comfort, the 2016 show’s teams have put sport centre stage this year by ensuring participants enjoy a range of top quality services, including stables management, a sports office, relaxation areas for riders, and arenas and paddocks specially redesigned for the show. The programme includes national professional and amateur trials with total prize money of €40,000, plus national club and pony trials - there really is something for everyone!

Shows and Events: Discoveries, Emotions and Talent

The 2016 Salon du Cheval de Paris is the leading event for horse enthusiasts. Like every year, the “Equi Star” competition will put the spotlight on the world’s most talented amateur equestrian artists, from 1 to 4 December 2016.  Every day, visitors will have the pleasure of taking part in introductory events, initiations, demonstrations and workshops. The Innovation Awards will provide the public with an insight into a host of original and innovative projects that are revolutionising the way we express our passion for horses. A major new event at the 2016 Night of Horses: our first Devoucoux Indoor Derby! This off-beat sports show will be preceded by a unique artistic performance.

Breeding and Sales: Meetings and Judges' Favourites

Come and meet horse breeders and their horses and ponies. This is a great opportunity to share the experiences of equestrian enthusiasts and to discover new breeds. The 2016 Salon du Cheval de Paris is also the leading event for horse riders and their future stable companions.

Ethology, Well-being and Health: Advice, Education and Practical Exercises

The 2016 Salon du Cheval de Paris will include a space dedicated to animal well-being and health. Organised by the French Veterinary Association and addressing a complete range of subjects - health, feed, stabling, behaviour, the musculoskeletal system, and care - this space is targeted at horse riders, breeders, teachers, owners and people who are simply passionate about horses. You can also sit in on “clinics” run by professional ethologists and take part in hands-on exercises to gain a practical insight into the issues covered.
